Welcome to Yash's Lab and Bioinformatics Research Unit, part of the Department of Biology at Naresuan University. Our research focuses on leveraging computational approaches to understand complex biological systems, with a primary emphasis on DNA sequence analysis.
Our mission is to explore the fundamental questions of life by studying the core molecular components of nature, particularly DNA and its markers. We aim to unravel the genetic basis of biodiversity, evolution, and organismal function using cutting-edge bioinformatics tools. By integrating machine learning, algorithm development, and comparative genomics, we strive to develop innovative methodologies that can decode genetic information, identify key molecular markers, and answer open questions in biology.
Since our establishment, we have contributed to advancing the field of bioinformatics through novel projects, publications, and collaborative efforts. Our work addresses challenges such as species classification, genome assembly, and gene annotation, with an eye toward applications in conservation biology, medicine, and agriculture.
Our team comprises dedicated researchers and students passionate about computational biology, supported by collaborations within and beyond Naresuan University. We are committed to open science and reproducible research, sharing our tools and data to foster transparency and accelerate discovery in the scientific community.
